Network Diagnostics Troubleshooting Flow

Repeatable triage path for DNS, connectivity, service reachability, wireless health, SSL, latency, and security review

This diagram explains the toolkit operating model. It is not a network map of a customer environment and should be used only on networks where troubleshooting or audit activity is authorized.

1. Establish Baseline

Host & Adapter HealthHostname, OS, IP, interface state, routes
DNS Resolver ReviewResolver config, forward lookup, reverse lookup
Gateway & Internet ReachabilityPing, packet loss, gateway path

2. Isolate Failure Domain

Port & Service ChecksHTTP/S, RDP, SMB, SMTP, LDAP, SSH
Traceroute AnalysisHop path, timeout points, latency jumps
Wi-Fi DiagnosticsSSID, RSSI, SNR, band, channel, nearby networks

3. Document & Escalate

ARP Device ReviewKnown devices, unknown devices, MAC vendor lookup
SSL/TLS Certificate CheckExpiry, issuer, protocol, hostname context
HTML Report OutputTicket evidence, handoff notes, baseline comparison
Help DeskConsistent first-response checks.
EscalationCleaner evidence for network or security teams.
SecurityAuthorized ARP and port visibility.
PortfolioProof of repeatable troubleshooting process.
